SSM – Guideline for Striking Off During the Moratorium Period and New Initiatives for The Year 2025

Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) issued the following announcements:

1.	Guidelines for Striking Off During the Moratorium Period
On 16 April 2025, SSM issued Guidelines for The Application To Strike A Company Off The Register (Guidelines) Under Section 550 Of The Companies Act 2016 During The Moratorium Period From 16 April 2025 To 30 September 2025. 2.	New Initiatives for The Year 2025
In conjunction with the celebration of SSM’s 23rd Anniversary, the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) has announced the following initiatives for the year 2025: INITIATIVE 1: SSM e-Advertisement service based on Section 76A of the Limited Liability Partnerships (Amendment) Act 2024 INITIATIVE 2: Compound reduction of up to 95% from the original amount and reduction of the SSM e-Advertisement fee for voluntary winding-up applications by LLPs INITIATIVE 3: 90% reduction in compound fines from the original amount for offences under the Companies Act 1965/2016 and the Limited Liability Partnerships Act 2012 INITIATIVE 4: 95% reduction in compound fines from the original amount for eligible applications for company name strike-off INITIATIVE 5: Continuation of the Free Business Registration Scheme (SPPP) INITIATIVE 6: Continuation of the “1 OKU 1 Business” Scheme (S1O1P) for free business registration and renewal for Persons with Disabilities (OKU) Members may conduct a self-check on their eligibility for compound reduction rates at https://forms.office.com/r/tt0x6XtDGZ or https://www.ssm.com.my/Pages/e-Compound.aspx.
