Bursa Malaysia Depository - Exercise on Withdrawal of Delisted Shares from The Central Depository System (CDS)

Bursa Malaysia Depository Sdn Bhd ("Bursa Malaysia Depository") is currently undertaking an exercise to reach out to delisted companies to withdraw their shares (including securities) from the Central Depository System (CDS). The shares of these delisted companies remain maintained in the CDS despite the companies no longer being quoted on the official list of the stock exchange, Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.

Upon receiving a request from the delisted companies to withdraw their shares from the CDS, Bursa Malaysia Depository will process the withdrawal and forward the final copy of the company’s Records of Depositor to the company. This will enable the company to update its shareholders' information back into their company’s Register of Members.

ALL MAICSA Members who are company secretaries or liquidators of delisted companies are advised to contact Bursa Malaysia Depository to facilitate the withdrawal of the shares of the delisted companies.
