SSM - Free Replacement of Flood-Destroyed Business Registration Certificate
On 10 December 2024, Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) issued an announcement stating that SSM will replace the flood-destroyed Business Registration Certificate (BRC) free of charge in its initiative to assist the affected business owners.
The affected business owners can obtain a printed copy of the BRC for free by present themselves at any SSM counters throughout the country. To ensure the smoothness of the application process, they need to bring supporting documents such as police reports, proof of flood verification from a legal representative such as a member of the state legislative assembly (ADUN), village head, “penghulu” or other documents that confirm the flood disaster occurred at the business premises or the business owner's residential address.
