BNM - AML/CFT Newsletter 02/2024

On 2 October 2024, Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) issued the AML/CFT Newsletter 02/2024, stating that the submission of Data and Compliance Report (DCR) 2024 via online DCR portal will start on 15 October 2024 and end on 15 January 2025. The access to the DCR portal will be available once the submission period begins.

Members who are reporting institutions (RIs) required to provide the firms’ data for the periods of 2022 and 2023 for the submission of DCR2024. RIs who had submitted DCR2022 may refer to the DCR2022 questions to prepare the necessary data for DCR2024.

Members are reminded that RIs are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the data submitted. Non-submission of the DCR may result in enforcement actions be taken pursuant to Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001 (AMLA), Financial Services Act 2013 (FSA) or Islamic Financial Services Act 2013 (IFSA), where applicable.
