SC - National Sustainability Reporting Framework to Enhance Sustainability Disclosures

On 24 September 2024, the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) issued a media release on the launch of the National Sustainability Reporting Framework (NSRF) by Finance Minister II, YB Senator Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan. The NSRF which was developed by the Advisory Committee on Sustainability Reporting (ACSR), aimed to enhance transparency and accountability in how businesses manage sustainability risks and opportunities, strengthen business resilience, and contribute to the nation’s broader sustainability agenda.

Main Market and ACE Market Listed issuers as well as large non-listed companies (NLCos) with an annual revenue of RM2 billion and above, will require to comply with the new reporting requirements in a phased approach.
