On 27 July 2023, Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri Malaysia (LHDNM) issued a letter stating that in line with the government's efforts to promote digitisation in service delivery system, especially to duty payers, LHDNM has taken the initiative to enforce and implement online stamping completely through the existing system, namely the Stamp Duty Assessment and Payment System (STAMPS). Hence, the use of revenue stamps at all LHDNM stamp duty counters and district stamp offices will be terminated with effect from 1 January 2024.
