On 6 March 2023, Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri (LHDNM) issued a Media Release stating that a total of four new system transformations for general access and three new initiatives for HASiL’s internal access were launched at its 27th HASiL Day Celebration Ceremony, to improve governance in strengthening the service delivery system to customers.
The four new system transformations are:
- The e-TCC system is a platform provided by HASiL for taxpayers to obtain a Tax Compliance Certificate (TCC) as a prerequisite official document for companies that wish to participate in government procurement.
- The e-PC system is a new method for the public to make complaints on tax evasion committed by any individual or business taxpayer.
- TikTok HASiL was officially launched on 24 February 2023.
- The upgraded Malaysian Income Tax Reporting System (MITRS 2.0) facilitates the online submission of taxation worksheets, financial statements, and audit support documents.
The three new initiatives for HASiL’s internal outreach are:
- Research Clip (RC) was introduced to display a summary of research papers prepared by the Strategic Research Department (JPS) through a visual approach.
- The Risk Management Manual (MPR) 2.0 is an improvement manual to the first edition published in 2012 with the latest information based on ISO 31000:2018 Risk Management – Principles and Guidelines as well as taking into account the implementation of HASiL organisational structure changes that took effect on 1 January 2023.
- The new version of the IRBM Taxpayer Roadmap has been improved with an interactive display for general guidance to the public on income tax administration in Malaysia starting from the form preparation process, compliance activities, tax collection, prosecution, and up to the appeal process.
