BNM - DNFBPs National AML/CFT Compliance Programme  print
In conjunction with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) Karnival Kewangan in Kuala Terengganu, BNM will be organising the Designated Non-Financial Businesses and Professions (DNFBP) National AML/CFT Compliance Programme (Compliance Programme) for reporting institutions under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001 (AMLA) as follows:

Discussion 1 - Customer Due Diligence
Discussion 2 - Suspicious Transaction Report (STR)
Discussion 3 - Risk Based Approach
Venue : Tabung Haji Hotel and Convention Centre, Kuala Terengganu
Speakers : Representatives from the Financial Intelligent and Enforcement Department (FIED) of BNM

The FIED department of BNM will update members on the following:

ML/TF risks to DNFBPs;
How compliance with the AMLA protects and mitigates DNFBPs from ML/TF vulnerabilities;
BNM’s supervisory approach and observations; and
Consequences for non-compliance.

This Compliance Programme is an ongoing programme to enhance the understanding of reporting institutions about their obligations under the AMLA as well as the steps to take to comply with AMLA requirements.
