DBKL - Business Premise Licence  print
We wish to bring to the attention of members that the Attorney General's Chambers have published a Federal Government Gazette on Licensing of Trades, Businesses and Industries (Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur) By-Laws 2016 (By-Laws) which took effect on 1 September 2016.

The By-Laws mandate that any person may use any premise for operating any business activity when a planning approval, if necessary, for that purpose has been obtained under the relevant planning law and a business premise license has been issued pertaining to the said premise by the Commissioner of the City of Kuala Lumpur.

Members are reminded to adhere to the By-Laws, which define business activities to include the activity of managing an office (management firm). Please refer to the Schedule attached to the By-Laws on details of business activities and annual licence fees payable for the business premise licence.
