Mandatory Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for MAICSA Members  print
We wish to inform Members that the MAICSA Council has agreed with the proposal for implementation of mandatory CPD for members (Fellows and Associates) with effect from 1 January 2015. All Members in the corporate secretarial practice sector will be required to attend twenty (20) CPD hours per annum whilst Members who are not in the corporate secretarial sector will be required to attend ten (10) CPD hours per annum. This is in line with the expectations of regulators to ensure the professionalism of Members. ICSA UK and many of the other ICSA Divisions have also implemented mandatory CPD for members in their jurisdictions.

Members of the Institute are expected to embrace, and believe in, the philosophy of continuous professional development. The structure we seek to provide through the proposed CPD programme is intended to guide Members - via professional development - on their path to become better Chartered Secretaries.
